Federal regulations in OSHA makes it very clear that fire extinguisher training is mandatory. Many companies are now incorporating a fire extinguisher training program into their new employee orientation classes. Studies show that those with minimal training are able to put out significantly larger fires than those without. At Fire Services of Idaho we offer a complete course of employee training for the use of portable extinguishers. In this training you will learn the basic technique in how to operate a handheld extinguisher. Secondly, you will learn the effectiveness of various different extinguishers along with their discharge times and range.
